Martha Dwain (Jameson) Pursley passed away September 8, 2014. Her parents and her brother, Donald M. Jameson, preceded her in death.

A 30-year breast cancer survivor, she is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Norman C. Pursley, her two children, Staci (Pursley) Stephens, The Woodlands, and Phillip Pursley, Houston, her grandson, Slade Stephens, her brother, Burel W. Jameson, Water Valley, and many nieces and nephews.

A devoted wife and mother whose children and grandson were the light of her life, Martha was born July 8, 1933 to Wayne and Frances (Bowman) Jameson in Gladewater, Texas. She graduated New London High School, Overton, Texas, attended Kilgore College, and was a member of the world famous Kilgore Rangerettes. She was a member of the University Baptist Church, Clear Lake City, and an Charter member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Joanna Troutman Chapter, Magnolia, Texas.

The family wishes to express appreciation for the care given by Martha's physicians and staff of the Broadmoor and Vitas Hospice in The Woodlands, and special thanks to caregiver, Mary Hall.
