Randolph A. "Randy" Cheramie, 78, passed away on Sunday morning, December 24, 2017. Funeral services were be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 2:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette. Reverend Daniel Edwards, Pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church in Lafayette, conducted the funeral services.

Survivors include his children, Christi Cheramie, Randall Cheramie, and Michael Cheramie and wife Jennifer; his granddaughter, Lauren; his sister, Violet LeBlanc; and his companion, Linda Babineaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kilren and Angeline Cheramie; his wife, Jacqueline Burleigh Cheramie; and 6 brothers and 1 sister.

A resident of Clear Lake, Texas for a majority of his life and retired on Toledo Bend Lake, Louisiana, Randy worked in the Aerospace Industry as a Program Director for Lockheed Martin and was involved in various programs from the Apollo Space Craft, the inaugural Space Shuttle launch, to the Hubble Space Telescope. He loved hunting and fishing and cherished lifetime friendships he's made. Randy will best be remembered for his enjoyment of cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

The family requested that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until time of services.

A Rosary was prayed by the St. Jules Catholic Daughters on Wednesday at 12:30 PM in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made in Randolph Cheramie's name to Heart of Hospice, www.heartofhospice.net.

A heartfelt appreciation is extended by Randy's children to Linda Babineaux and her family.
