Sandra Marie Griffin Burke, 57, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Santa Fe, Texas. She was born February 27, 1957 in Portland, Oregon to Glen L. Lundy and Lois Marie Fessler. Sandie was a generous, faithful, kind and inspirational person who went above and beyond to bring joy and beauty to the lives of those around her, even as she battled cancer for several years. She will be dearly missed and remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Burke of Friendswood, Texas, daughter, Sanjet Kennedy and her husband Scott of Santa Fe, Texas, two step-daughters, Dana Guthrie and her husband Eric of Pearland, Texas, Kyla Reinhart and her husband Alan of Savannah, Georgia, stepson, Ryan Burke of Hinesville, Georgia, two sisters, Carol Burton of Bonanza, Oregon, Ronda Sigler and her husband Craig of Winlock, Washington, and two brothers, Randy George of Hilo, Hawaii and Ronald Lundy and his wife Linda of Deer Island, Oregon. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Sydney, Syvanna and Zane Kennedy of Santa Fe and Nicholas and Lila Guthrie of Pearland.

While living in Columbia County, Oregon, Sandie worked as an assistant teacher for 10 years, serving children with special needs. She moved to League City, Texas in 1991 and worked as an office manager, construction coordinator in the home building industry and controller.

Sandie began attending Clear Creek Community Church in League City in 1996 and soon became a beloved member of the church, serving in the coffee ministry and on the finance team. She completed the Houston marathon in the early 2000s and was baptized at Clear Creek Community Church in 2005.

Services were held at Clear Creek Community Church in League City on Friday, October 17, 2014. Sandie is interred at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
