Scott Dovel Adams of Seabrook, Texas died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the age of 40 after a battle with colon cancer since November of 2009. Born in Warner Robins, Georgia, November 20, 1970, to Claude (Tony) and Frances (Frankie) Adams, Scott was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Scott is survived by his parents, his wife Heather, daughter Samantha, sisters Laura Simpson and Betty McKenzie, his faithful dog, Abby, and many other extended family members and devoted friends.

Scott graduated from Harriman High School in Harriman, Tennessee in 1989. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in 1994. He worked in the field of Environmental Science and was most recently employed by E E & G. Scott was a quiet person on the outside, but had a burst of energy and a passion for his family that was obvious and inspiring to all who knew him. He had an avid love of hunting and the outdoors. Scott was the most caring, compassionate, devoted father Samantha could have asked for and a blessing to all lives he touched. He fought his battle with cancer with no complaints and with unsurpassed dignity. A true hero, Scott will be missed dearly.

A memorial service will be held at Seabrook United Methodist Church for Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Scott, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
