KATHERINE HUNT Obituary
Katherine received her associate degree in applied sciences from Eastern Maine Community College and majored in welding. She went on to work for General Electric Corp. for 22 years, welding turbines. She enjoyed crafts of all sorts, but was particularly fond of painting in oils and crocheting.
Katherine is survived by her mother, Joan Purcell of Tavernier, Fla.; daughter, Heidi Hall and husband, Matthew, of Iowa; grandson, Sage Braga; brother, Paul Purcell of California; sister, Penny Purcell of New Hampshire; and two nieces. She was predeceased by her father, James Quan Purcell; and brother, Patrick Purcell.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Interment will be at a later date. Gifts in her memory may be made to The Next Step, P.O. Box 1466, Ellsworth, ME 04605. Condolences may be expressed at www.jordanfernald.com

I worked with Casey for a little over a year at GE. She was always so friendly, and very crafty too. She made me a beautiful bird house for Christmas that I love. My sympathy to all her family and friends. She surely will be missed.

Dear Heidi and Family,
As I search for the right things to say at this most difficult time, I wish there was more that could be said to relieve you of some of your grief.
I'm deeply sorry for you, and for this loss to your family. My most heartfelt prayers go out to you all. I'll always remember your mom's smile and laughter that we so often shared during shift change.
I remember how excited she was to find out that you were going to make her a Nana; we laughed and teased each other about how old we were getting. We really enjoyed talking about our children and grandchildren.
Once again I offer my most sincere condolences. May you find strength from those around you, and in the knowledge that God cares about you deeply, and weeps with you.

I keep thinking I will see her in the bathroom at the start of work putting on her work boots. Its just so sad. My heart breaks for her family. I just want you to know how much she talked about you at work and how much she loved and adored you all. She was so proud of her grandson she beamed with joy when she would show new pictures and talk about him. Casey you may be gone but never forgotten. God speed to heaven and find the peace and love you have always deserved.

Our freindship was mainly in our teens as we both being free spirits running and laughing in the beautiful land called Bar Harbor.If there wasn't sand between our toes near the water there was flowers in our hair running across the park.
Life was too short for you my friend and the end of your journey was very sad, i am so sorry for that.It just breaks my heart.
I am so happy we bumped into each other again a few years ago and our smiles & hugs connected us yet again.I will miss you.

Our deepest sympathies to all of KC's family and friends. KC was a really sweet person. She often volunteered to do face painting for the kids at our GE family functions, and her table was very popular with the kids. This is such a terrible tragedy, I'm so sorry.
