Lawrence Sinclair Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 16, 2012.
ELLSWORTH - Lawrence Randy "Little Randy" Sinclair Jr., a lifetime resident of Hancock County, died suddenly and tragically at age 32, Sunday, March 11, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. Family and friends were by his side. Randy was born Oct. 16, 1979, in Blue Hill, to Randy and Althea (Stillwell) Sinclair Sr. He grew up in the Ellsworth area and after graduating from Ellsworth High School went to work as a carpenter in the family construction business. Randy followed many different sports and teams, but favored Ultimate Fighting Championship, the Red Sox and Patriots most of all. He was known for an inquisitive mind and for having amazing recall of many trivia facts. Randy would use this talent researching one of his favorite subjects - Bigfoot! He also enjoyed playing softball and bowling. Randy will be remembered for his willingness to serve his family and friends in whatever capacity they required. He is remembered by his family for the special bond he shared with his siblings. Randy always knew that being available and loving each other is why we are here. He is survived by father and stepmother, Randy and Pam Sinclair Sr. of Ellsworth; mother and stepfather, Althea and Jack Wentworth of Ellsworth; brother, Jake Sinclair and his partner, Brittany, of Ellsworth; sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Steve Rowley and two nieces, Mariah and Marissa, of Ellsworth; little sister, Olivia Sinclair of Lamoine; and stepbrothers, Matthew Meserve of Lamoine and J.D. Wentworth of Ellsworth. Randy is also survived by his paternal aunts and uncles, Ricky and Jane Sinclair of Hancock, Sonny and Jada Sinclair of Ellsworth, and Johnny and Stacey Sinclair of Sullivan; maternal aunts and uncles, Lucinda and Michael Sargent of Sullivan, Tanya and Charles Chattley of Ellsworth, Charlene Grindle of Ellsworth, Wanda Kimball of Ellsworth, Diane and Michael Brenton of Ellsworth, Debbie Sinclair of Ellsworth, and Sophia Sinclair of Ellsworth; stepgrandmother, Dawn Sinclair of Lakeland, Fla.; and many, many cousins, extended family and friends. Randy will be sadly missed by his beloved dog, Brady. Randy was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Ethel Sinclair; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Elizabeth Stillwell; and great-grandparents, Bert and Lucinda Sinclair. He was also predeceased by his paternal uncle, Charles Sinclair; and maternal uncle, Douglas Stillwell. Visiting hours are scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 16, and noon-5 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Ellsworth chapel of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes where a funeral service is scheduled 1 p.m. Monday, March 19, with the Rev. Bob Maddocks officiating. A graveside committal will be held immediately after the chapel ceremony at Morse Cemetery, Harrington. Remembrances may be donations to assist with expenses payable to Mrs. Lori Rowley, 170 Gary Moore Road, Ellsworth, ME 04605.

Rest in peace, you have always been an angel in one way or another to me. I will always remember you standing up for me in school while everyone else was making fun of me...and those weekends keeping Uncle Charlie company while he was sick. At least you are in good company and in peace forever now. You will always have a special place in all of our hearts and memories, you will always live on...

I cannot imagine the grief the family and friends are dealing with. I was acquainted with Randy and his parents for years and remember many great times when we used to be around each other. For years then and after,Randy always has had a kind word for me and my daughter and I noticed that he always showed repect to us and others around us and that his family and friends were very important to him and him to them. He was very smart too!(and funny!)That is how I remember him. I am so sorry for your loss.

To "Lil" Randy's family and friends. It is very hard to lose a loved one so young and so tragic. Our Thoughts and Prayers, are with you all. (My Gram, Katie, was Berts sister, and Big Randy, Sonny, Charlie, Ricky & I, all use to play out to Grams house in Franklin, and I 've not seen Randy and the ""Kids"" in a while, but, my heart aches for you, He was way to young to die so senseless) Blessings to you all....
