BELFAST - Wilda L. (Dooley) Littlefield, 77, died Jan. 23, 2008, at Waldo County General Hospital. She was born April 30, 1930, in Westfield, the daughter of Hershel W. and Lillian (Truworthy) Dooley. Wilda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed Morrill Baptist Church and helping with AWANA. She loved children and helping others. She will always be remembered for her warm smile. Wilda is survived by her husband of 60 years, Eugene H. Littlefield of Belfast; daughter, Linda Smith and husband, Roy, of Belfast; son, Gene Littlefield and wife, MaryAnn, of Belfast; one brother, Earle Duley of Massachusetts; four sisters, Elaine Logie of Linneus, Rowena Soulnier of Old Town, Gloria Roy of Old Town, Irene Couture of West Virginia; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Private graveside services will be at Littlefield Family Cemetery, Poors Mills Road, Belfast. Those who wish may make donations in Wilda's memory to American Cancer Society, Maine Affiliate, 1 Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
