Henry was one of my favorite teachers - patient, kind and quick with a smile or a dry comment. He was always on task and really got a lot out of our small Eastport bands. I remember him behind the plate too, always smiling and having fun. What a wonderful example that he set and how many lives he touched.

"Playing music is supposed to be fun. It's about heart, it's about feelings, moving people, and something beautiful, and it's not about notes on a page. I can teach you notes on a page, I can't teach you that other stuff. " ~~~~Mr. Holland's Opus

I walked into Mr. Noonan's music room when I was in 5th grade and was blessed to have him as a mentor for another 7 years. He loved his students like they were his own and supported us even outside the music room! Mr. Noonan, you were an inspiration to all who knew you and will certainly be missed! Sending love and prayers to the Noonan family.

I refereed and umpired with Henry often over the past fifteen years. Henry was a dedicated official and worked hard at doing things right. I'm sure he cared about his students just as he cared about the student athletes for whom he worked, and he was always helpful to his fellow officials. I enjoyed "working" with him and I appreciated his professionalism.

Dawn, thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. I will always remember Henry not only as my co-worker but also as my teacher. Henry never missed anything that had to do with kids and their music. Even with his sickness he has shown up to every concert. He will be missed by many. He left behind a legacy that you all can be very proud of. Many students and adults had wonderful life experiences because of Henry.
