1930 - 2018 Betty Lou Herrington Cearley, 88, went home to be with the Lord Jesus September 8, 2018. She can now see and stand up straight with no pain to praise her Jesus with so many family members and friends that she dearly loved and missed for so very long! Dan and Betty are together again! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! To God Be the Glory. Betty is a 1948 graduate of Kirbyville High School, was married to Dan Cearley for 51 years until his death in 2002, has been a resident of Montgomery, Texas since 1989, until recently moving to Huntsville, Texas with her daughter Nancy. Member of West Conroe Baptist Church; Betty was a dedicated Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great gran. She joyfully served as a Sunday School pianist in church throughout her life. Her testimony and legacy were portrayed through her deep love for God, family, and friends, her musical talent, and her prayer warrior lifestyle. That legacy lives on! Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Olga Herrington, her husband Dan Cearley, and her sister and brother-in-law Bob & Juanell Bateman of Florida. Betty is survived by daughter Cynthia McCurdy (Hal) of Huntsville, daughter Nancy Cearley of Huntsville, son Scott Cearley of Spring; grandchildren: Emily Hazlewood (Carl), John McCurdy (Bridget), Mark McCurdy (Stephanie), Sarah Childs (Scott), Luke McCurdy, and great grandchildren Hendrix, Harlan, Hudson, Carter, Melanie, Nathan, and Mia Esther. A graveside celebration service will be held at the Kirbyville Cemetery Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation and viewing at 10:00 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville, Texas.
