Perry Stanley Obituary

Perry Stanley, Jr., 53, of Nome, died Friday, April 18, 2014, at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston. He was born on December 14, 1960, in Port Arthur, to Emily Hunt Stanley and Perry Dean Stanley, Sr., and was a longtime resident of Nome. Perry worked as a control engineer in the construction industry. He loved dirt track and go cart racing, Nascar, motorcycle riding, camping, and was just an awesome and unique one of a kind guy. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Stanley; son, Ryan Stanley and his wife, Cristina, of Nederland; grandchildren, Andres Lee Roy Maldonado and Gabriel Stanley, both of Nederland; father, Perry Dean Stanley, Sr. of Longview; brothers and sisters; his canine companions, Precious and Little Man; and his mother-in-law, Madeline Olivier of Nome. He is preceded in death by his mother, Emily Hunt Wills; his grandparents on both sides; and his canine companions, Sissy, Boo, and Lucky. A gathering of Mr. Stanley's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Memorial Hermann Hospital, HVI Unit, 5th Floor, for the wonderful care given to Perry. So sorry for the loss of Perry. Phillip and I never stopped believing he would get his healing. Now he is healed and I have no doubt rejoicing with his beloved Mother Emily in heaven. We can rest assured we will see Perry again someday. I pray God will help Ryan and Liz thru this time of sorrow. Perry will be greatly missed. Phillip and Linda Jones
