James M. Jim Ferrell, Jr., 61, of Port Neches, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. He was born on February 20, 1952, in Houston, moved to Beaumont in 1963, and had been a resident of Port Neches since 1999. Jim was a United States Air Force veteran. He had previously worked with Stewart Title for many years, Southeast Texas Title, and Boy's Haven of America before accepting his teaching position at Lamar Institute of Technology. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Ferrell; sons, Steven Ferrell of Beaumont and Ryan Ferrell of Lumberton; daughter, Jamie Ferrell of Port Neches; grandson, Ryan Ferrell, Jr.; brother, Mark Ferrell and his wife, Sandi, of Beaumont, extended family and numerous nieces and nephews. A gathering of Mr. Ferrell's family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches. Memorial contributions in Jim's memory may be made to Boys' Haven of America, P.O.
