I worked with Patty for many years in the ED. I remember her as fun-loving, totally unique, and completely giving of herself to others. I remember well all the work she did organizing a fundraiser for Dr. Schallert. I am so shocked and sad. Patty spoke frequently and with such evident love about her family. Please know she touched my life in such a positive way, and I'm certain the same is true for very many others. My deepest sympathies.....

It was very hard getting to sleep after hearing the news. My mind is whirling memories from the late eighties when we started working together. She was so endearing, funny, warm, loving and charasmatic. Anyone who met her loved her. She was a giver and was always there to help anyone in need. The light of her life was her children and she cherished them all. My heart goes to Megan, Samantha, Danniele, Zachary and Andy. All my love, Lee

To the many families of Patty -
The memories of her are huge, happy, humble, honorable and totally Hoffmann. This woman touched so many lives and gave so much of herself to others that her wings must span the entire width of heaven. She was always surrounded by kids, smiles, family, friends and most of all - love. Thank you Patty for all the ways you touched our lives and hearts. It has left your imprint forever with us.
