Gregory Greenman Obituary

Gregory Scott Greenman
May 12, 1974 - February 18, 2021
Saint Louis, Missouri - Gregory "Scott" Greenman, age 46, passed away on February 18, 2021. He was born on May 12, 1974 in St Louis, MO to Harry A Greenman Jr and Letha Marie Greenman (Tubbs). Scott was the youngest of five siblings: Harry (April) Greenman of Louisiana, MO, Steve (Mary) Anderson of Albany, New York, Theresa Greenman of Louisiana, MO, Sandy Greenman of St Louis MO and Randy Greenman who precedes him in death. Scott met Erika in 2003 and it was love at first sight. He and Erika married on June 12, 2004 in St. Louis, MO.
Chloe Noelle Greenman was born to Scott and Erika on May 1, 2009 and it was one of the greatest joys bestowed to this couple. Scott loved being a father and took pride in teaching his daughter everything from the names of the scariest movies to how to tie her shoes. In his free time, Scott loved spending time with his wife and daughter, watching movies—especially Marvel superhero movies and scary movies, as well as laughing and telling jokes with members of his extended family. Scott was truly a gentle giant, standing 6'6" he would always give the biggest hugs that came with a chuckle shortly after. He was known by his nieces and nephews for his playful personality and they knew a visit from Uncle Scott always came with a piggy back ride.
Scott worked at Greensfelder Hemker and Gale P.C Law firm for 21 years and worked as a Records Manager. He was the definition of a leader at his job and those that he worked with enjoyed his dedication and loving manner.
Scott was joined in departure by his wife, Erika Greenman, who also passed on February 18, 2021. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his brother, Randy.
Scott leaves behind his daughter, his four siblings, two sister in laws; Anna Nance of Sparta, IL and Sybil Nance of Belleville IL as well as a brother in law, Alvin (Emma) Nance Jr of Seattle, WA as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him greatly.
Visitation and services will be held in Sparta, IL on March 6, 2021 but due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family is asking that only close family members attend to ensure adequate social distancing occurs.

Sending my Deepest Heartfelt Condolences to this Family. I met Scott in 1999 working as a temporary employee at Sigma Aldrich and I recommended him for the position at Greensfelder. He was very thoughtful, warm and a very considerate gentleman. Heaven is receiving a gentle Giant of an Angel.

My heart is breaking to learn of Scott and Erika’s passing. They were both so kind and sweet with such great personalities. I had the pleasure of working with both of them at Greensfelder. My thoughts and prayers are with both families. Prayers for Chloe and may she always remember how much her parents loved her.
