Betty Hubbard

Betty J. Hubbard, nee Whitehead, 90, of O'Fallon, IL, born Friday, November 25, 1927, in Belleville, IL, passed away at her home on Friday, May 11, 2018.

A devout Christian, Betty attended The First United Methodist Church of O'Fallon. She was also former member of the Eastern Star of OES 504 in O'Fallon. Betty had a huge heart and enjoyed volunteering for the O'Fallon Food Pantry. Throughout her life she was very devoted to her family and loved to entertain. Everyone was welcome to her home during the holidays and everyone who met her loved her. Betty was always fun to be around and loved life to its fullest. She had a fond love for her grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She passed away surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Jessie Whitehead, nee Titter; husband, Joseph Hubbard; son, Eric Hubbard; and a sister, Merideth Brown.

Surviving are her son, Craig (Claudia) Hubbard of O'Fallon, IL; daughter-in-law, Deborah Hubbard, nee Scharringhausen of O'Fallon, IL; four grandchildren, Joele (Kenneth) Pinkerton of Dublin, OH, Lauren (Gerald) McManama of O'Fallon, IL, Nathan (Autym) Hubbard of O'Fallon, IL, and Emilee Hubbard of O'Fallon, IL; five great-grandchildren, Kailee Hubbard, Wyatt Hubbard, Henry Pinkerton, Joseph Pinkerton, and Penelope McManama; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Home Instead Senior Care Services, and Gwen, Jean, and Tina for their weekly visits.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 South Lincoln Avenue, O'Fallon, IL, 62269 and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at O'Fallon First United Methodist Church, 504 E Hwy 50, O'Fallon, IL, 62269.

Services: Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at O'Fallon First United Methodist Church with Rev. Becky Williams officiating. Interment will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery, O'Fallon, IL.
