Lucille Borsch

Lucille A. Borsch, nee Westwood, 97, of Belleville, IL, born October 15, 1920, in East St. Louis, IL, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at her residence at Morningside of Shiloh, Shiloh, IL.



Mrs. Borsch was a former member of First United Methodist Church of O'Fallon, IL, and the Belleville/Swansea Women of the Moose Lodge 1221. She was a homemaker and was employed at Scott Air Force Base and as a manager for Stanley Home Products. Lucille enjoyed dancing and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Elmer L. Borsch, whom she married on July 25, 1938, who died on February 1, 2011; her parents, Francis and Phoebe, nee Hodgett, Westwood; a brother, Clarence Mullett; five sisters, Evelyn (Willard) Cook, Lillian (Emil) Fix, Irene (Bill) Taylor, Nellie Burns, and Mildred (Bill) Berger; and a brother-in-law, Emil Borsch.

Surviving are a son, Thomas L. (Gwen) Borsch of Shiloh, IL; two grandchildren, Thomas W. (Jennifer) Borsch of O'Fallon, IL, and Ryan H. Borsch (friend, Jayne) of O'Fallon, IL; three step-grandchildren, David Novak of St. Louis, MO, Jeff (Denise) Novak of Swansea, IL, and Chris (Tara) Novak of O'Fallon, IL; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Liam, Riley, and Andrew; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

Lucille's family wishes to extend their appreciation to Carole Berger and Jules Johanson and the staff of Morningside of Shiloh for providing loving care to her around the clock.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with the Rev. Herbert Schafale officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
