Ave-Lallemant

Timothy John Ave-Lallemant, 69, of Belleville, Illinois, born March 10, 1948, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away, Monday, August 28, 2017 in Belleville, Illinois.

Tim possessed a hardworking, dedicated, and spontaneous personality. He worked at Auffenberg Hyundai, in O'Fallon, Illinois for over 15 years as a salesman. He also managed and ran two restaurants in the St. Louis area, Ave's and Talayna's. Tim was a man of Lutheran faith and instilled those values into his family and loved ones around him. He had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed playing the guitar. Hearing him play a tune on his guitar by James Taylor was a joy for his loved ones to share with him. He also enjoyed playing tennis, which he coached to his children, canoe trips on the Meramec River, trips to the Meramec caverns, tending to his lawn and home, cooking his famous recipe of pasta con broccoli and enjoying the beauties of life with his wife, children and those special friends around him. He was a loving husband, dad, step-dad, brother and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Winfred and Irene (nee Drews) Ave-Lallemant; sister, Renee Ave-Lallemant; step son, Benjamin Seres; and his father-in-law and mother in-law, Evan and Bonnie Werner.

Surviving to cherish memories are his loving wife, Judy Seres, of Belleville, Illinois; his children, Kala (Steven Bellomy) Ave-Lallemant, of Dubuque, Iowa, Maria (Dan) Cordrey, of Richmond, Virginia, Timothy "TJ" (Meaghan) Ave-Lallemant Jr. of Durham, North Carolina, and Jenna Ave-Lallemant, of Charleston, South Carolina; his children's mother and his first wife, Nancy Pitts; grandchildren, Madeline Bellomy, Kate Cordrey and Luke Cordrey; step son, Brandon Seres; step grandchildren, Myalyn Seres and Peyton Seres; brothers, Allan, LaRue, Peter, Theodore "Ted", David and Daniel Ave-Lallemant; brother-in-law, Kurt Werner; special friends, Tony Galbraith and Katie Welzbacher; his aunt-in-law, Judy Blaes; and a number of dear nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Lutheran Church Charities or an organization of the donor's choice. Additional memories and condolences may be shared online at www.valhallagardensandfuneralhome.com.

Tim was my oldest friend--freshman in high school. Unlike so many others our lives were intertwined through all the years that followed up until last year, when I had dinner with him and his wife. I was best man in his wedding; I knew his first wife and children, all his brothers and one sister--I knew this family always. I was terribly saddened to hear from someone else who knew Tim about his death. Tim and Judy and I had a great dinner together last winter; Tim was in a good place spiritually and emotionally, the Tim I knew through all those years. I will miss him.

It was my pleasure working with Tim. Being a true friend, he tried unsuccessfully to teach me how to improve my ability to do "car deals" in my head. He was very bright. I have many fond memories of him. During the years we worked together, being with Judy was one of the best decision he made. She brought happiness to his life. Tim will be missed.

Over the many years that Tim worked at Auffenberg, I have fond memories of him. He would use the kitchen here to create some masterpiece meals! I played tennis with him many times. He was just a good guy. Prayers to the family.
