Heaven gained one of the sweetest ladies on January 7th when Betty of 93 years passed quietly into the hands of our Lord. She was married to Clem L. Ford for 69 years, the love of her life. They moved to Bellingham in 1953 to raise their family of three children. Betty will always be remembered for her lovability. She never met a stranger. She was gracious, classy, warm and welcoming to everyone she ever met. Many people knew her through her work of 25 years as a cashier at the Whatcom County Treasures office. She was a member of the Garden Street Methodist Church for many years. A true Christian in every way. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved God, her family, country, family gatherings, travel, movies, and of course those sweet treats. She would donate gallons of her precious blood over the years to the blood bank. Preceding her in death are her parents Archie and Grace Crawford, husband Clem Ford, and sister Patricia Gregory Pruitt. Survivors are Cary Ford (Cecilia) in Ferndale, Susan Ford Crooks (Stephen) in Bellingham, Steven Ford (Ron Fenton) of Kona, HI. Six grandchildren; Carianne Ford, Trevor Ford (Jenny), Jamie Ford, Brian Crooks, Chuck Crooks and Jeffrey Crooks (Jennie), eight great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. The family would like to sincerely thank each and everyone at the Christian Health Care Center, in Lynden, for their wonderful care of our mother over the past few years. No services are planned at this time. Friends may share memories at
