It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear daughter, wife, mother, sister, niece, grandaughter, cousin, and friend - Meagan Pearl Ellis (nee Knisley). Meagan graduated from Nooksack Valley HS in 2002, then completed the Early Childhood Education program at WCC while working as a grocery cashier in Bellingham. After marrying Jay Ellis in 2013, Meagan moved to Ketchikan AK and worked as a bank teller. Meagan's life-long dream was to be a mother, and in 2016 their joyous son Cody was born. Meagan, 34, learned of her cancer just 7 weeks before her death at Virgina Mason Hospital in Seattle. Meagan is survived by her husband and son, Jay and Cody Ellis of Ketchikan, AK, parents Kim and Pat Martin of Everson, Rick Knisley of Kelso, WA, and Julie and Paul Jarvi of Ketchikan, brother and sister-in-law Levi and Pamela Knisley of Lynden, grandparents Vernon and Karen Leibrant of Everson and Charles (Bud) and Avonne Leibrant of Ferndale, aunt Niki Thane of Bellingham and uncle Mike Knisley of Lynden, now Kelso, WA. We will hold a memorial service for Meagan at 2:00 pm on Saturday February 3, 2018 at the Glen Echo Community Club, 7694 Goodwin Rd Everson WA.
