March 24, 1936 - April 2, 2021
Bellingham, Washington - Paul Landgren, age 85, passed away in Bellingham, WA on April 2, 2021. Paul was born March 24, 1936 to Paul and Verna Landgren in the Andersonville area of Chicago. Paul and his two sisters, Alice and Marcia attended school in the area until the family moved to Wheaton, IL, where Paul spent his last two years of high school.
Paul obtained an engineering degree and MBA from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana. After college, Paul served as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy. He was subsequently hired by the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen in the consulting Division. He became a partner in the firm within ten years and lived
in Chicago, Tokyo and Melbourne, Australia. He left the firm to pursue his own investments. Paul, and his Canadian wife, Moiree moved to Bellingham in 1983.
Throughout his life Paul volunteered with many organizations. In Bellingham he belonged to Navy League, the Rotary Club of Bellingham and worked on several civic improvement projects. Paul enjoyed boating, watching sports, and baroque & bluegrass music.
Paul is survived by his wife Moiree, sisters; Alice Landgren Friedrichs (George) & Marcia Landgren Karraker (Kent), and numerous nieces & nephews.
