Shirley Kung Obituary

hirley Ann (Griggs) Kung, 33, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, in Little Rock.
Shirley was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Tim and Crystal Griggs on Jan. 14, 1984. She grew up in Benton and graduated from UA-Little Rock with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Shirley was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children, above all else.
She was a beautiful nurturing soul, a starry-eyed dreamer, who was responsible for shaping the lives of many. Shirley was a passionate force and will be greatly missed.
Shirley is survived two children, Genghis Kung and Jewel Kung, both of Benton; siblings, Kimberly Griggs-Jordan, of Dallas, and Timothy Griggs, of Austin, Texas; and her parents, Tim and Crystal Griggs of Benton.
A private memorial service will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home of Benton.
Memorials in honor of Shirley may be made to the Kung Memorial Fund, benefiting her children, at www.gofundme.com/shirley-griggs-kung-www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
