Shaun V. Stolfi

1967 - 2015 FLORIDA Mr. Shaun V. Stolfi, 48, formerly of Adams, passed away on June 5, 2015 at the Wuestthoff Medical Center in Ridgefield, FL. Shaun Stolfi was born in North Adams at the North Adams Hospital on March 2, 1967. He was the son of the late Vincent P. Stolfi. His mother, Patricia Stefanski, still resides in Adams, MA. Shaun attended local schools in Adams and was a graduate of Hoosac Valley High School in 1985. When Shaun was a Sophomore in 1983, he broke the "TRAX" videogame world record at the former "Game Emporium", managed by Carol Superneau, that used to be located on Park Street in Adams. The TRAX game was one of the first video games ever invented. Mr. Stolfi also served in the U.S. Army and after graduating basic training at Ft. Dix, NJ, he was stationed in Germany for the next three years. He was Honorably Discharged. Shaun was an avid outdoor man and loved fishing and camping and especially loved hiking with his dogs and cats who followed him everywhere. Shaun is survived by his beloved daughter, Cynthia M. Stolfi, of Navarre, FL, his mother, Patricia Stefanski of Adams, a brother, Leo M. Stolfi and his wife, Donna of Leesville, LA, his sister, Aldona Adams of Williamstown, MA and his niece and nephew, Samantha and Jacob Adams of Williamstown and Grant and Alayna Stolfi of Leesville, LA. Shaun passed away from a massive heart attack brought on by a life long struggle with alcohol and drug addiction. Despite his hard life, he remained a deeply spiritual man who was very kind to those he found struggling with these same addictions. He is now at peace and resting with his Savior, Jesus Christ. There will be no calling hours. A private, family "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.
