To the Sica and Savage Families,
I just found out today about the passing of Carol. I live in CT and decades ago, Carol directed theatre at the Mark Twain Masquers in West Hartford. She was the first person to ever cast me in a play and I did numerous plays with her, she had a great sense of humor and was a very kind, talented person. I am deeply sorry for your loss. it was shocking when I found out. My deepest condolences.

I had the lucky pleasure of being a student actor in one of Carol's productions at Hofstra University in the early 1970s. She directed me with kindness, good humor, grace, insightfulness and made me feel valued and heard as a young artist. I shall be forever grateful to her. The confidence she showed in my work helped me going forward as a professional. She will always be a part of me. My condolences to her family.

So sad to hear of Carols passing. I remembered her fondly from time spent around her in the late 90s early 2000s. She provided me with a lot of encouragement. Thank you both for seeing in me the potential I had not yet seen in myself. Rest in Peace Carol. Condolences to Marcia and the family. Sending prayers of comfort, love and hope❤

So sorry to learn this sad news, while planning to call Carol to catch up after several years. She and I were classmates (she in acting, I in directing) at Yale School of Drama... then, coincidentally, teaching colleagues in the theatre department at Hofstra University. And years later learned that she was a neighbor of my sister and brother-in-law in the Berkshires, where we reconnected. A wonderful actor, teacher and mentor...brilliant, witty and warm. To Marcia, whom I had the pleasure of meeting, and to all of Carol's family and friends, my sincerest condolences.

"Still full of joy!" indeed! What a wonderful talent of Carol's. She was always surprising me with her
straight shooting and delightful wit! We first met when she was helping seniors at Hawthorne Valley School find their next step in life. Her creativity and persistence were unmatchable. We sang together in two choruses, and I have to say for the last several years I continued to miss her unsinkable presence and her unmistakably pure voice with the sopranos. She will not be forgotten.

Marcia,
I am so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. My best memories of her were entertaining us in Pat's painting class. I'm not sure how successful our paintings were but we sure had some good laughs. I hope you find comfort in the love she shared so freely.

When I first joined Stockbridge Festival Chorus, a nervous first-time chorister, our director Tracy pointed to Carol and advised me, "Stand next to her. She'll take good care of you." Truer words were never spoken! Carol's encouragement, wit, intelligence, irreverence, excellent musicianship, and big, big heart have been such a gift to my life and that of so many of us who were privileged and delighted to know her. My sincere condolences to all of her beloveds, and my deepest thanks to Carol for having made this world a more sparkling, fun and beautiful place.

The world is a bit less fun and a lot less blessed since my dear friend Carol has passed. I am so, so sorry and send my love and condolences to Marcia and the whole family. One of my favorite memories is of Carol arriving at chorus rehearsals (either the Bach Singers or the Stockbridge Festival Chorus), flinging open the doors, and entering while singing a high B-flat. She had arrived!! I and so many others have loved Carol for years and years and shall miss that sunshine in our lives.

Carol was, quite simply, a force of nature! How fortunate am I that I could call her a friend, mentor, and singing companion. While still quite new to the Berkshires, I was invited to join Stockbridge Festival Chorus. Being a soprano, I was lucky to have Carol by my side. With her wit, kindness, and singing expertise, rehearsals were always fun. Then we sang together in the Berkshire Bach Society. Additional joy for my soul. Carol - you will be remembered in my heart and voice. Much love to all of your family.

Although I only knew Carol a few years, her wit and sense of humor always brought out a smile when I saw her coming. A beautiful lady with the voice of an angel.

Dear Marcia and Julie, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Carol. She was such a dynamic force in local choruses, I sang with her for years in the Bach society chorus and Festival Chorus. She was always ready with a funny quip. She brought joy to all of the singers. She was also someone who volunteered her time to help the Stockbridge UCC church put on children's pageants. Always theatrical, she was wonderful with children. I will miss my singing buddy from so long ago.

Dear Marcia, I am so sorry to read about Carol's passing. I have thought of you two often, and of the great time we (Octagon) spent with you remodeling her studio in the garage! I still have the dog bowl you/she gave me, though I now have a different dog companion using it. What a bundle of spirit your Carol was! I'm glad for her peace after long suffering, and sad that her place by your side is empty now. My thoughts go out to you. Please stay well, take good care of yourself.

Sending lots of love to Marcia and Julie and the family Carol loved so dearly.
