I first met Roy in the mid-1970s at a Fort Worth upstairs bar that had a 4 piece band. When I first walked in with my girlfriend we had a choice of tables which most were empty and the band was quiet. The dance band started playing and Roy Clark came into the bar unannounced. It wasn't long before Roy and a man named Bobbie got an invitation to join the band. The bar filled up with people waiting in line to get in.

I had no idea how talented and gifted he was! His hands, his fingers were guided by angels!

I noticed how Roy Clark was on HEE HAW with Buck Owens and they did really good on singing and every time they do PICKIN' and GRINNIN' especially when Mel Tillis came along ,I'd never thought Roy Clark would find funny in him.
