Anthony Joseph Gambone Obituary
Anthony Joseph Gambone of Hendersonville, 70, passed unexpectedly June 17, 2017 in Valdez, Alaska where he was fishing with his beloved grandson. He was the son of Joseph and Carrie Giobbi Gambone.
A native of Dunbar, PA, he moved to Cleveland OH when he was 10. He served 3 years in the Army and was a Crew Chief / Door Gunner in Vietnam with the 189th Assault Helicopter Company. He graduated from Cleveland State University with a degree in accounting and worked for Eaton Corp. for almost 30 years in various locations. Since retiring to Hendersonville he was a popular duplicate bridge director and player. Tony loved to fish, play cards and spend time with friends and family. He was a kind, thoughtful man perpetually ready with a joke and willing to lend a hand. Tony never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Denise Gambone; his daughter Dena Gambone of Hendersonville and his daughter, Laura Gambone (Kenneth Nobles) of Little Rock AR; and four grandchildren whom he adored: Conner Anthony Gambone, Madilynn Shaun Stende, Gracie Jane Nobles and Brooks Fletcher Nobles. He is also survived by his brother, John Gambone (Jeannette) of Las Vegas, nephews, John (Rosalie) and Jim (Amy) Gambone and great-nephews of Florida.
