Kari Collier Obituary
Kari Brandstaetter Collier, 41, of Fletcher, NC, passed away Friday, June 22, at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville, NC. Born in Milwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of Ralph and Mary Brandstaetter of Rock Hill, SC. She had lived in Hartland, WI and Mt. Pleasant, SC prior to moving to Henderson County the Asheville area in 2005. She received her Bachelor of Arts Science-Business Administration degree from Winona State University in Winona, MN and spent the majority of her career working in human resources. She most recently was employed as office manager for Pike Real Estate Development Co. Besides spending time with her family, she was an avid runner who also enjoyed swimming and reading. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Ella Fischer and paternal grandparents, Anton and Hilde Brandstaetter.
Kari is survived by her husband Scott M. Collier, whom she married October 27, 2007; three children, Ella Evelyn (age 9), Sydney Jane (age 6) and Jack Anton (age 4) of the home; four brothers, Kurt Brandstaetter of Daphne, AL, Erik Brandstaetter (Kristin) of Tucson, AZ, Jon Brandstaetter of Hartland, WI and Jeff Brandstaetter (Maureen) of Coral Springs, FL; a sister-in-law, Lisa Collier Schaffer (Mark) of Charleston, SC and many maternal and paternal aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and special friends.
A mass of the resurrection will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday, June 29, 2018 in the main sanctuary of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Fr. Martin Schratz will officiate. The family will receive guests in the St. Francis Hall of the Church immediately following the mass. A committal service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, June 29, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
