Millie Lou Steadman
Hendersonville - Millie Lou Steadman, 82, of Hendersonville passed away Monday, April 12, 2021, at home surrounded by adoring family. She was born in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Earl and Edith "Louise" Conner; she was also predeceased by loving husband, Otis K. Steadman, Sr.; a sister, Reba Hill; a brother, Flyod (Donkey) Conner; grandson T.J. Brown; and best friend, Cecil Young.
Millie was a member of Apple Valley Church of God. She loved helping others and was a member of Four Seasons REACT Team of Hendersonville. Millie's hobbies included gardening and spending time with her family and friends; she especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up.
Left to cherish Millie's memory are her children; Nancy McCraw, Otis Steadman and wife Sherry, and Edith Sally Young and husband David; grandchildren, Jacqueline Brown, Jennifer Miller; great-grandchildren, Braylen Crowder, Dakoda Moffitt, Marcus, Maranda, and Matthew McCraw. Millie will also be missed by her sisters, Maudree Morrow of Hendersonville, Bennie Sue Conner of Lenior, NC; Lynn Hill of Traveler's Rest, SC and brothers, Ray D. Conner of Brevard, NC, Reid Conner of Hendersonville, Calvin Conner of Greer, SC; and Tony Conner of Hendersonville, NC.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home of Hendersonville. A funeral service will be at Upper Christian Fellowship, 991 Upward Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731, on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 1pm with Pastor Luke Jenkins officiating. A graveside at Forest Lawn Memorial Park of Hendersonville will follow.
