LTCOL Fanucchi was my squadron Commander at K.I. Sawyer A.F.B. MI in the early '70 's. Assigned to the 410th Munitions Maintenance Squadron (MMS) in Building 740. He was an inspiring charismatic leader with infectious enthusiasm. He has impacted me for the greater part of my life and career. There was none better.

I learned so much at Lee's side as I was studying to become a Master Gardener. He is "Mr. Tomato" in my mind forever. Lee was a kind, wise and giving soul whose life will be remembered by many.
