I just found out today about the greatest loss that has been felt by anyone who had the privilege of knowing or working with Dr. Rebeiz. It was a shock to hear this news from a local doctor in R.I. who was referred to me by Dr. Rebeiz. He saved my life back in 2001, which I will be eternally grateful for. I always thought of him as an angel, and now he is one. My sincere condolences to his wife, children, family, friends and associates who has had the privilege of being by his side.

Dr. Elie Rebeiz was a superb and busy surgeon who always responded ASAP to consultations and provided compassionate care to every patient, included myself and my family. May our Heavenly Father comfort his loved ones with peace, faith and hope

He helped me immensely in 2011 by diagnosing an allergy where no one else could with my "strange ENT problem" and helped heal me when no one else could and was worth the trip from Pittsburgh to just get this diagnosis. My sympathies to the family.

I have known Elie since my childhood. He has always been true to himself, as a friend, a relative, a neighbor and a doctor, never shying away from a needed advice or support in time of medical emergency. Elie is a man of competence, but also of great character and kindness, someone you can count on, a brother with all the best instincts. We both knew that we liked and cared for each other. In this year of extreme sorrow, I am devastated by the loss of my dear friend Elie. Our deepest condolences and our love to Liliane, Joelle and Lina. May God bless you, and comfort you in the knowledge of his eternal peace.

I am so saddened to hear about the loss of Elie. I have no words. I worked beside him in the OR for many years and I respected his immense expertise. He remained a genuine friend even after I retired if I were to see him in the hospital corridor. May your family be blessed with memories of this remarkable man.

Our love and thoughts go to Liliane, Joelle, Lina and Patrick, other family members around the world, and to Elie's wide circle of friends, colleagues and patients. We are so sorry for this sad loss; at such a premature time. We will remember Elie as the most wonderful human being, consummate gentleman and lovely neighbor all those years ago at 45 Longwood, Brookline. From Simon, Cally, Victoria, Eliza and Amy Robson.

There are no words to express the sadness and loss of such a wonderful person.
Forever a role model, a teacher, a friend and one who will be so deeply missed. It is rare to have an esteemed individual, like Elie, come into your life.
Always Dr. Rebeiz to me, no matter how many times he said, “ You know you can call me Elie.” He earned every ounce of that respect everyday of his life. I am better for having known him and his life’s example.
My deepest condolences to Liliane, Joelle, Lina and his wide circle of friends, family, colleagues and patients who were lucky enough to be touched by his presence.

I am so saddened by the news of Elie's passing. I met Elie (and Liliane) 30 years ago in Malden, MA, through my brother, a close friend of his. I found him warm, courteous, and with a striking--entertaining--dry sense of humor. May he rest in peace, and my deepest sympathies to Liliane and the family, and to his friends and co-workers!

Where to begin with Elie? Always a gentleman with patients, families, colleagues and staff. He was a confident clinician and gifted surgeon who managed to teach and explain with humility and a constant desire to always do better. Patient, kind, and generous in every way. Especially gregarious outside of the hospital when he could turn into a shockingly charismatic and approachable life of the party to friends and strangers alike. He could chat up a spouse at a work party with ease, always so genuine in his interest to learn more about others.
He was the best boss anyone could have. Gentle in his reprimands and fierce in his advocacy. He was masterful in leading and guiding his faculty from afar. I have missed him greatly these last few weeks and his passing has left a void that we may never fill. My thoughts are with Liliane, Joelle, Lina and all of his family. He was a good friend.
