Steve's contributions to the field of immigration law will not be forgotten. He will be remembered as someone who was an expert in his field, while also generously sharing his time and expertise with other attorneys. AILA New England was lucky to have him at the helm and lucky to call him one of our own. He will be missed.

He was a wonderful immigration lawyer and mentor to all younger lawyers. His contributions will never be forgotten by those of us who practice in this field. Thank you for everything Steve.

Dear Joan and Family,
We mourn with you as you grieve for the passing of your beloved husband, father and grandfather.
We pray that your many treasured memories will be a source of comfort to you at this very sad time.
We celebrate the extraordinary man Steven was with his loving care for his family, friends, coal miners and immigrants throughout his life at home, in his community and at work.
We are proud to have been a part of his childhood years in Bay Shore at Bay Shore Schools. Steven will be alive in our hearts forever.
In deepest sympathy and love,
Joe and Kathleen Allen Hanley BSHS Classes of 1961 & 1962

Steve - was a quiet force of nature at Flynn & Clark. Joe and Steve were vastly different people in many respects, but joined at the hip by their idealism, intelligence and humanity. They walked the walk, and we were all better persons from having known them, and worked with them. I am sure that Steve and Joe are practicing law beyond the pearly gates and making arguments for entry thereto for miscreants such as myself. Keep on truck’in’ brothers. Joan you are in our prayers, be well. Bill Green

Dear Clark family,
Flynn and Clark, are two inseparable names in my association with Joe and Steven. How I miss the two of you. I valued your friendship and kind advice towards helping Central American immigrants. Thank you for helping the people of Appalachia and Central America. Everyone will miss your quiet presence and advice. Our family will remember your Fourth of July parties where you shared with us the view of the Charles river fireworks. Rest in peace, Steven.
