Leonard Moss Obituary

Of Lincoln MA, died Wednesday, September 13, at his home. Born in Baltimore MD in 1918, he was a violinist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the New York Opera Company, the New York Ballet Theatre, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, and retired in 1996 after 43 years with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances S. Moss (Rossi); son, Philip N. Moss and his wife Jane of Lincoln, MA; daughter Carol S. Van Cott and her husband Kevin of Park Forest Illinois; two grandchildren, Matthew F. Moss, of Eugene, OR, and Ann W. Moss of Berkeley, CA. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the First Parish Church in Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Leonard G. Moss to The Boston Symphony Orchestra, Project STEP. 301 Mass Ave., Symphony Hall, Boston, MA 02115. WWII U. S. Army Veteran.
