So saddened to hear this bad news. I´ve known Frank since we were in Major Works together in 4th grade. Smart kid. Nice kid. Always enthusiastic I remember. Resilient too! I remember good times after school playing tackle football with you, Peter Young, John Gaspar, Jimmy Sullivan & George Ultrino! You made a robust & heartfelt go of life despite many challenges along the way. I miss our Beebe Jr High, Malden High & UMass days and creating music together in band & especially in jazz band. In jazz band, you laughed at my stupid jokes, always had a friendly smile & I don´t think I ever noticed you playing a wrong note bro! I wish we had stayed in touch more since graduation, & I was aiming to look you up when I heard of your passing. I wish I knew what happened to you. I certainly hope that you are at peace. I miss you man. Heartfelt condolences to your Mom, Leanne & your children.

I only met Frank about three years ago--originally online and as the author of the history of Malden (till 1900), but we quickly began to share our mutual interests and then enjoyed several get-togethers. And from our first e-mails--and most especially our in-person meetings--I found Frank to be a truly extraordinary fellow--I don't know any other way to put that. Such energy, such enthusiasm, such knowledge, and above all such warmth. I have been looking forward to working with him on a couple of projects (I'm a Malden native myself) but again, especially to maintaining what I now would like to call our friendship. My condolences to his Mother and chidren are hardly adequate to express my feelings upon hearing of Frank's all-too premature passing.
