My husband and I used to live in David's building. We were by 30 years the youngest couple there, and we feared that we'd never build a social life or get to know our neighbors. David and Mina took us in and, in certain ways, became our adoptive parents. They were a lovely couple. Quirky and funny and intellectually provocative and warm. Some of our warmest memories from Boston are of sitting in the Goldberg dining room, feasting on prune chicken or David's famous stew. We mourned Mina when she died, and very acutely feel David's passing. He was a grand and good man. He will be sorely missed. My love to his family.
