Chris and I were classmates at Lake Washington High School. We had an unplanned meeting in Todi Italy decades ago--I have a very strong memory of our visit. Very sorry to hear of his passing.

I knew a youthful Chris a n of the painter who lived on the east coast, first in New York to persue hie career. Our parents were friends and as we grew up we spent time together as a result. Chris showed the family integrity in the way he chose to live his life. My condolences to those who mus t feel his loss most acutely

I was so sorry to hear of Chris' passing. Chris and the Kirk family were a part of my growing up years of which I have very fond memories to treasure. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Some of my fondest memories of the past have been of times with Chris. His devotion to painting, whatever the cost put him in the highest scales of Courage. His willingness to live simply in order to continue painting was and will remain inspiring. There are many both past and present who will mourn his passing. Who can we look to who could give so much to cooking, painting design and friendship.I was blessed to know him.
To his family each will mourn their loss in a different way. Let him live in our hearts, for as long as its possible.

To the Kirk Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
