Dear Nancy & Brenda,
Bob and I send our sincere sympathies to you and your family. Dan was a wonderful, kind, and supportive husband and father; we were very aware of his devotion to all of you during your years at SCOB and later as the skating career expanded. He was very proud of all of you and devoted to his family. We are saddened by your loss and hope that your fond memories of him will be of some comfort.
Our condolences and friendship,

Nancy,
My heart goes out to you and your mother. I recently lost my father ... it is such a profound loss ... my Dad and I shared the love of figure skating and spent wonderful evenings watching you perform on TV and in person. My parents were both so impressed by what a wonderful relationship you had with both your parents. Our hearts grieve for you.

Dear Kerrigan and other families,
I am sorry for your loss. He will be known forever and to the ages as the father of Nancy Kerrigan, the ice skater. I like the happier times at his daughter's wedding. His daughter is beautiful and her husband Jerry Solomon is handsome man. I know Nancy on television since I was a boy. He is an Irish-American gentleman. His wife is a very nice woman! I wanted to reach out and express my sorrow at this very painful time. I lost my father 13 years ago and that was the hardest time of my life. My memories are now sweet and make me smile because I remember all the wonderful times together. The pain of this event will soften and allow those memories to come forward; hold onto those happy thoughts and as you continue with your daily routine.

Nancy and the entire Kerrigan Family,

I am so sorry for your loss of your husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, etc. He was the perfect role model for every father to look up and want to beyet ho one could really fill his shoes. Nancy I never missed a single skating event that was televised that you were participating in. I saw the pride, love, and joy in his eyes as you floated across the ice during each performance/event/competition. He was always right there beside your mother, both of them gleaming. When you got injured, he did ot hesitate to pick you up and take you away from the media and to give you privacy while you received medical attention. I cannot even begin to comprehend the pain all of you are going through as I still have both my parents and my dad is very much like your dad was like. Hold on to all your memories and it will be those memories that will get you through the roughest of days. That is what got me through the loss of my grandparents who were like a second set of parents to me. God Bless you all and know that you haven't really lost your dad but have gained a guardian angel. He will always be looking out for you, just from a different view.

Forever a Nancy fan

Dear Kerrigan Family,
I was so shocked when Fr. Bill mentioned your loss at St. Pats confirmation class on Sunday. I have lost both my parents due to long illness and had time to prepare myself and can't imagine how horrible a sudden loss would be.
I am so sorry that your loss was sudden and such a shock.I hope and pray that the news media will go away and respect your families need for privacy.
Mr.Kerrigan deserves to be remembered as a man who loved his family dearly.
As my nephews confirmation sponsor I was asked who my mentor was and why ; my response was my dad because he never gave up on life/family despite being disabled.Mr Kerrigan obviously loved his family as he worked so hard to give them what was needed.
As tme passes I pray that the love and support from family/friends will continue to give you comfort.
God bless you all !

Dear Mrs. Kerrigan, Mrs. Solomon, and the rest of the Kerrigan Family,

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Daniel Kerrigan, very sad to learn that he is no longer with you. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, though many of my acquaintances have and thought he was truly a supportive husband and father. One remembered Mr. Kerrigan encouraging his shy daughter to sign autographs after a skating exhibition. He reminded her that the fans were the ones who made it all possible to do what she was doing, along with (the support and encouragement of) her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May Daniel Kerrigan rest in peace, yet I know he will be watching over you all. May you find love, support, and comfort in the arms of God.

Nancy,
I have warm memories of you at Emmanuel Colege, especially in Mrs. Louise Cash's wonderful Speech Class.

Years later, when I watched your career, I was even more proud of your skills behind a microphone than on your skates. You seemed like grace under pressure, and you made it seem so effortless.

The same inner strength (a gift from your beloved parents) that nurtured you then will sustain you and your family now.

May God's love and peace envelop you all.

Dear Kerrigan Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. I know words seem pretty lame, but please know that there are others who grieve with you, and will lift you up when you can't do it yourselves. May God grant you His most perfect peace and love.
