In 1953, at age 17, I wanted to Join the Marine Corps. I needed my parents signature on a waiver since I was under thye age of 18. That waiver had to be notarized. James Hennigan had a small office on Centre St Jamaica Plain opposite the Blessed Sacrament Church. Mr. Hennigan was a Notary. He notarized the waiver and I went off to the Marine Corps. After I retired from the Corps in 1985,I requested a micro fiche of my complete service record. The very first frame was a copy of the waiver Mr. Hennigan had notarized. I followed his successful political career and always admired him.
My condolences to his family and many friends. May he Rest In Peace.
