What an amazing, amazing woman. She was a hero to me in so many ways. I admired her so much. I enjoyed talking with her, and learning so much from her.
Her extraordinary dedication to, and love for, her country, her job, her family, and her God was manifest in everything she said and did.
She was not just a Soldier for America, but also a Soldier for goodness. We were blessed with knowing her, and God will bless her for eternity.

For those who knew and revered this remarkable woman....Last Friday ....a little piece of the world fell out with Margaret’s passing.
I did not know her for a long period of time. We were colleagues together on the Holyoke Soldiers Home Board of Trustees. But even in that few years we developed a treasured friendship.
Much has already been written here about her incredible life and remarkable attributes. So I will simply say that it was pleasure to be a part of that journey with her.....More importantly... it was an honor to know her.
My sincere condolences to all who loved her.

Margaret you are one in a million. You were that “Anointed one”, that “Super Woman”, that “Mentor”, that “loving wife”, “Doting mother”, that “Dedicated daughter”, that “caring sibling”, that “Major”, that “Chief”, that “Friend” who cared and that person who said what they meant and meant what they said, you gave without measure and your kind genuine spirit was God’s kiss to the world that we were Blessed to encounter you. I am so very grateful to have been counted in that number to have been called your friend.
Margaret, Your wisdom, real-talk candor, leadership skills and encouraging demeanor and solid character will forever be etched in your DNA. However, the richest quality you possessed was your need to care. You cared about the struggling, challenged women who just needed someone to give a damn and not be Judged, show them love, show them respect, give them faith and hope to press forward despite the odds against them. You taught these challenged women “How to embody faith and told them “You Can Make it!!! The fact that you believed in them made a world of difference and gave them the strength to rise like the Phoenix.
You also listened and were brave for soldiers you commanded who were deployed and suffered being home sick and scared and told them to just hold on everything is going to be alright.
Most importantly Margaret you loved your Family above all else and made sure they were always okay. Thank you Frank Edward Oglesby for sharing your beloved wife with the world. I enjoyed working with her , learning from her and hearing her speak of how proud she was of husband Frank’s accomplishments. Margaret as a mother was so excited when her oldest son Frank Edward Oglesby lll also known affectionately as “Eddie” a college grad now has his own beautiful family and she beamed with Pride about becoming a grandmother. Margaret’s only daughter Elizabeth was her mini-me, smart beautiful inside and out. This independent goal oriented college grad young lady followed her dreams and her mother was so proud. Margaret’s baby boy Nigel, who will always be her baby soared and Margaret burst with pride that her youngest son would was attending Penn State.
Margaret your Course was Charted, you ran the race, you are a faithful servant, you have earned your Angel Wings. You have left an indelible mark. Your presence made the world brighter. Go on run into Heaven as your Mother and Father greet you with stretched out arms, no more pain. Our Heavenly Father God is swooping you up and saying job well done time to go home and rest. Rest In Peace, Power and Heavens Gate my sweet sister friend. Love you always and Forever your friend and Colleague Carla Tucker Kynard and Family

To Frank and family I am sorry to hear the passing of my childhood friend Margaret. I believe I was the only one to get away with calling her Pooh. Every time I would see her she would say Almateen all I do is wake up with JESUS eat with JESUS and sleep with JESUS. I do know that she Lord. Pooh was always a go getter from a young age she knew what she wanted out of life and she succeeded in what ever she sought. I am so glad that I got to see her about 2 months ago and i know that it was God’s for us to meet at the park and talk about all the silly things we would do as kids when we lived next door to each other. I was so proud of all her achievements and I let her know that every time we run into each other. I do know that she still knew God because when I went to see her a week ago we played her song I Give Myself Away she tried to talk and I said this was your song and a tear started coming down her face and I said no more tears you made it in my sister. My prayer for the family is to be encouraged and know that God had his arms around your wife your mother your sister your aunt and grandchildren. With my deepest sympathy may God touch each and everyone of you and give you comfort and strength during this difficult time. Love Almateen “Debbie” Dickerson
