Michael Robert Coyne

COYNE, Michael Robert Of Walpole, formerly of Norwood, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2009. He was 56. Born and raised in Norwood, he graduated from Norwood High School and Massasoit Community College in Canton. Mr. Coyne was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, actively serving from 1977-1981. He worked as a Systems Programmer for the Department of Corrections in Walpole. Along with his family and friends, music was an enormous part of Michael's life. He played the guitar daily and was the guitarist, and often singer in the band, Full Moon. He recently joined the choir at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole. Mr. Coyne is survived by his father and step-mother, Robert and Marilyn Coyne of Walpole; two daughters: Sandi Lee Coyne and Stacey Ann Coyne, both of Norwood; two sisters: Jeanne Hunt of Stoughton, and Beverly Corsetti and her husband David of Canton; a nephew, Matthew Mosher of Somerville; his former wife, Donna Coyne; and his close friend, Barbara Finn. He was predeceased by his mother Muriel Coyne and his brother Joseph Coyne. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 8:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, then at 9:00am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood. Interment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec 8, from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
