HARRIS, Molly (Frothingham) Of Somerville, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home at age 88 on April 30, 2018. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Helen S. Frothingham and Richard L. Frothingham, she grew up in Dedham, Massachusetts and attended Milton Academy, Bryn Mawr College, Radcliffe College, Harvard Extension and Northeastern University. She was a psycho-therapist at Matthew Thornton Hospital in Nashua, NH and had a private practice in Somerville. Molly was the loving wife of the late David B Harris. She is survived by her children, Janet Caner, Anthony Caner and Emily C. Caner; stepchildren, David Harris, Jr., Grove Harris and Jay Harris, siblings Janet Garfield, Peter Frothingham and Virginia Fleet, and grandchildren, Niklas Caner-Medley, Baird Caner, and Emily L Caner. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Jasper. Molly had a passion for cooking, gardening, reading, conquering the NYT crossword puzzles and engaging in lively discussion about world affairs. She was a volunteer at Neville Place where her late husband lived until his death. Molly's family is grateful for the special care provided by Dr. Katherine Mintzer, Dr. Erin Derose and staff at Mt. Auburn Hospital, and the wonderful Hospice staff from Caregroup Parmenter. The family also invites donations in Molly's name to Best Friends Animal Society or Boston Animal Rescue League. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
