To those of Paul's family, whom he loved so much;
My words cannot begin to convey the deepest sympahties that I have for you, any more than I can truly percieve your sense of loss that is felt with someone like Paul now departed.
I will always remember Paul, as I knew him, with a twinkling eye, an attentive ear and a sympathetic heart. God blesses our lives with a sprinkling of some very special people. I shall miss our chats, and the occasional warm pipes that we shared on cool evenings.
Perhaps the Lord needs a few moments of mirth now and then, and decided that Paul was just the person to bring a laugh or two.
For now, the laughs and all the fond memories will live on with those that he enjoyed them with.
I do look forward to seeing him again; blueberry cornbread, cool lemonade, a new unburdened twinkling smile and spending some more time sharing about "the simple things that make the difference." - and that is a most comforting thought...

My deepest condolences on Paul's recent passing. Mom & I were talking about Paul and the rest of the clan when we were passing the Vietnam memorial the other day. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

To All The Shannon Family (cousins)
We are so sorry to hear that Paul has passed. Haven't seen him for awhile, but when we got together with cousins at my sister Jo-Ann's... we always shared alot of good times & had lots of laughs. Our thoughts & prayers are with all of you. Rest in peace Cuz!!

Paul was one of the nicest people i have ever met. Paul, Walter, and John will have a great time in heaven playing the spoons. He did so much wonderful work for me, Dede and i will really miss him.
