Mr. Parmigiane was my Varsity Basketball Coach in my Senior year, 1964, at Needham High School. He was a wonderful man and teacher always paying attention to his kids. That year we went to the Tech Tourney at the Boston Gardens, a great experience for us all.

Dear Uncle Ralph,
How can I thank you for being such a great friend to my dad, Russell Johnston? How can I thank you for being such a wonderful part of my young life? I send all my love to Anne, David and Roger. So precious are my memories of our young life together.
With much love,
Cynthia "Samme" Johnston

Played basketball for Coach Parmigiane at Needham High School from 1965-1967. Enjoyed him as a person and coach, and his dedication to his players. Was also aware of his strong reputation as a teacher. Have strong memories of his sense of humor and funny expressions. My condolences to his family. Reading the Worcester Telegram for 40 years, from time to time an article remembering the players who played on Mr. Parmigiane's championship basketball team that he played on in high school, would appear. Apparently, his nickname back then was "Red". Glenn Merkel class of 1967

So sorry to hear this and for the family's loss. I was a student at NHS while he was a much respected teacher and coach. A few years later I joined the Science Department as a Biology teacher. I realized how much he cared about his students, teams and NHS. He was firm, respected and students only benefited from his contributions.
