She was a spark of happiness and joy in your family which is evident in the love you showed her and she showed you all so willingly. It is sadness and loss we all feel in her passing but it was her life that stirred our hearts with fond memories which will be with us forever. Dear Melissa...my wife Linda and I are so saddened to learn about the passing of your daughter, Sheila, and we wanted to extend our deepest sympathy to you, family members and friends at this very difficult time. It’s been such a long time since my wife and I last shared company with you, your mom Sheila, and your father Dick at their Reading residence many years ago. Unfortunately, as with most families for various reason, we loose contact with one another over time, as we had with you and your sister, but we never stopped thinking or caring about you both after all these years. We most regret never having met your lovely daughter, Sheila. I’m not certain you know this, but your dad was my godfather and my namesake, which is something I am very proud of.

It’s inconceivable why such a beautiful young woman had to leave us so soon, but I know she is shining brightly and peacefully not so far away. I send peace and love to all of her family and friends that are left here with heavy hearts. I pray that you feel her presence in all you do.

My thoughts and love go out to the friends and family of Sheila. She was an amazing cheerleader and I’m sure an even better daughter, sister, and friend. Her strength and will to fight will live on in those she surrounded herself with, and may her memory never die. Rest in the sweetest of peace Shiela.

Dear Missy, Brian and girls
My heart hurts for your grief. I remember so many times throughout the years with the COPS family the laughter the love and the silliness. Shiela was always a part of it. Two years old Cadence was always following her like a puppy. Shiela always gave time and love to the little ones. I will always miss and think of her bright light.
Warmly Fran Snyder Szegda

Sheila was a fighter, and never really gave in to anything. Over the last few months we chatted several times, and her spirit shone through. She basically did what we agreed - Give them hell and don’t give in!
My fondest memory of Sheila was while she was at Johnson Wales. Her father and I had volunteered to cook 35 ribeyes for the yacht club, and he volun-drafted her to assist. 35 perfectly cooked, simultaneously delivered steaks later, we had a blast of an afternoon together. Sheila laughing and dancing around the deck working two grills because she could, while Brian (let’s blame Sheila for the grill flare up), and I managed one each. I’ve seen her cook a number of times, always to music, singing and dancing. Between cooking and her baby Athena, she was at her happiest. Gonna miss you young lady!
