STEPHEN GORDET

1936 - 2018

GORDET, Stephen Of Exeter, NH, formerly of Westwood, MA, passed away on October 6, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Molliver) Gordet. Devoted father of Elissa Franco and her husband Thomas, and Richard E. Gordet and his wife Sonja Johanson. Loving grandfather of Alison Franco, Zachary Franco, Rigel Johansonjancovic, Acadia JohansonGordet, and Rijs JohansonGordet. Loving brother of the late Ellen Gordet. Born in 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Max and Selma (Feldman) Gordet. Attended Boston Latin School (1952), Harvard College (1956) and Harvard Law School (1959). In winters, he loved to ski at Saddleback and Sunday River in Maine. In the summers, he was an avid sailor and loved weekend and longer trips cruising the coasts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. He had a fond appreciation for cars, more specifically convertibles and sports cars, and motorcycles. Stephen served on the Planning Board and as Town Moderator for the town of Westwood for many years. Funeral service at the Wilson Chapel, 234 Herrick Rd., Newton, MA on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 at 12 noon. Following the service, Memorial Observance will be at the home of Elissa and Thomas Franco, 566 High St., Westwood, MA until 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stephen's memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
