I really don't know where to start being overwhelmed with emotions and how much he gave not only to me but other Veterans, and those in crises. I look at this picture and say yup you look dignified, but I was Honored, Humbled to be your Servant. All I can say to those that remember the "Ted Williams" Tunnel in Boston to Logan Airport prior to opening we got you beat, meaning first to experience going through it. Never got to say my goodbyes but you as I know how much you meant to me on my return from Vietnam in 1999 after serving 68/69 and 30th Anniversary of Operation Dewey Canyon. I will be forever Grateful to your Love and Compassion of me on returning to Vietnam to give Marines ,Corpsman that I served with a Tribute deserving they never had, I carry your Legacy "My Brother in Arm's". Your Quote, I can't help them all, Help me as I did you.
Mission Accomplished and still doing so, Semper Fidelis Buzzard

I was lost and broken when I returned from Iraq in 2004. Bill was my Counselor and my Friend.
He saved my life.
He was all that is good in this world. I was blessed to have known such a man.
My heart goes out to Bills Family, and all those who knew him.
I will miss you forever Bill.
As you would always say to me, take good care.
My love and gratitude always.

So sorry to read of his passing. While distant cousins, I feel a great loss. The few conversations we had covered many subjects, mostly related to family. Over the years I often heard my parents Victor & Monica Mark speak of Bucko and Bill, along with many other Mark family connections and visits. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I spent the month of July 1990 at the Mark house and got to spend considerable time with Bill & Demak for the next several years while in Boston. I greatly valued Bill's guidance and their kindness during that time. I lost contact with Bill in the late 90s, but a few days ago, after seeing a picture of the two of us together in Rockport, I did a quick search, hoping to reach out to him and instead found the news of his passing. Without the opportunity to talk with him, I can at least share my memories of him here.

Bill was the only cousin I had, and I admired him, not just because he was my cousin, but because of his caring and honesty. His devotion to veterans is remarkable. I have many fond memories of Bill, who we knew as Bucko, from our childhood, and his parents, Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Bill. We will surely miss you. God Bless, Ellen
