To Michael Banks and family:
I have fond memories of your father from the years he sat criminal in Suffolk Superior Court in the 1990's. He was always firm but fair, and I admired him for the tenacity and compassion he demonstrated as a Judge.
My sincere sympathy as you mourn his passing.

Bob Banks honored the law by practicing it with dedication and excellence. His crowning contribution to the advancement of the right to counsel was as a member of the Rogers Commission in 2004-2005. May he rest in peace and honor.
