I knew Eric through his work for Food Not Bombs in Cambridge.

I met him while he was manning the Food Not Bombs information table in Harvard Square.

Anyone who believes that one person can't make a difference didn't know Eric. He led by example and his quiet strength remains an inspiration.

I'm lucky to have known him.

Later, friend.

I was proud to be considered a friend of Eric because of everything he stood for and the generosity and kindness he offered to all he met. He led a committed life, irrespective of the cost that commitment entailed. I,like many others, felt sad about the decline Eric experienced in his last years. The round the clock support and care he received, from women and men who respected him and were grateful for all that he had done, was a great blessing to him and an example of the assistance all of us would welcome when we approach the end of our time. As you go through life you are lucky if you meet even one person with the integrity and compassion Eric had. I considered myself fortunate and will never forget everything he taught me and what we did together.
