My sympathies. I never met John. However, one summer when I was a boy, I did meet his dad Fentress Kuhn who was in California visiting my dad, Fentress Hill. Just thought I would share the memory. I know we are related, but not sure how.

I am shocked at the loss of John.

I met John playing golf through Dale Trask in 1999. Every year I would play golf with John and Dale at Cape Ann and other courses.

I last played with him in late June. I always enjoyed his company and humerous e-mails. A very bright man that will forever be remembered.

John was a great guy and very helpful to me. He had a brillant analytical mind and a very dry wit.
