James Waldron Botkin

BOTKIN, James Waldron Of Cambridge, died peacefully on November 20, 2011. Beloved son of the late Harold M. and Julia (Bishop) Botkin. Brother of Sue Botkin Norton and the late Jean Duncan. Loving father of Alexander and Christopher Botkin. He is survived also by former wife Rosvita Botkin and cherished grandchildren Elijah and Ione Botkin. In 1973 Jim received his doctorate from Harvard University where he fostered his lifelong intellectual curiosity of life in its every aspect. An accomplished author, Jim's books on business reflected the same energy, enthusiasm and openness to change that he emanated in his daily life. Also an avid traveler, Jim greeted many throughout the world with his gentle kindness, love and understanding. The Botkin family wishes to thank Geraldine Guardino of Cambridge, Jim's life partner, who stood lovingly by Jim's side with an abundance of compassion, care and love.
