ROSS, Barbara C. Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts in 1930, died on January 18 in Tucson, Arizona, her home for the past eighteen years. Barbara was a Ford scholar at the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a PhD in Psychology, and then became a professor at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. While a professor she served as president of the History division of the American Psychological Association and editor of the Journal of the History of the Behavioral Sciences, and was a member of the New York Academy of Sciences. A life member of the Boston Athenaeum, she also served as president of the Nichols House Museum Board of Directors. Barbara was loved by many people for her fun spirit and her parties and dinners, always beautifully done. She leaves two children: Stephanie Ross of Washington, D.C., and Warren K. Ross, Jr. ofWellesley,Mass.
