OSORIO, Maria Luisa Of Cambridge, Massachusetts, passed away on October 24, 2012 at home of natural causes. Luisa was a professor of Spanish literature for over 50 years. She taught at several universities until settling in at the University of Massachusetts, Boston where she taught from 1967 until retiring in 1995. One of her most passionate academic interests was the role of women in Spanish society; more specifically, the images of women in Spanish literature. She was married to Miguel Gusils until his passing in 1978 and survived by their son Miguel Gusils Jr. and fiancee Christine Egitto. Luisa will be buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge on Saturday November 10th at 12 noon. Friends are invited to attend. Contributions in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 is most appreciative.
