HEFFERNAN, Peter J. Of Arlington, formerly of Cambridge, June 30, 2014. Beloved husband of Louise (Hefron) of 50 years. Loving father of Julie Nero and her husband Nick of Acton, Mary DiCarlo and her husband Pete of Arlington, Jane Scheschareg and her husband Rob of Arlington, Ted of Watertown, and Veronica Tivnan and her husband Rick of Woburn. Devoted grandfather of Annie, Meg, and Patrick Nero, Tommy and Julie DiCarlo, Pete, Joe, and Mike Scheschareg, and Jimmy and Eddie Tivnan. Brother of James and his wife Noreen of Co. Kerry Ireland, Louise and her husband Dr. Maury Bermon of Barrington, RI, and Mary and her husband Dan O'Neil of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Peter was a graduate of Matignon High School, Boston College, and Babson MBA program. Late Army veteran. Retired employee at Harvard University. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral mass at St. Agnes' Church, 30 Medford St., Arlington on Tuesday at 11 am. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
